Brian Smith
Rough-hewn Musical Storyteller

Been writing stuff for years, but never songs until
being Covid-imprisoned at home with a guitar handy.
Hadn't sung since the Atlanta Boy Choir in 1969,
         but what the heck.

Night of Joy is named for a fictitious New Orleans
night club not unlike House of the Rising Sun.

A Few Last Wild Oats Sown is a subtlety-challenged
song of hope in the later years. It's for Linda.

Oh, My Woman is one side of a two-sided conversation.

Night of Joy

Searching for truth walking through settings
in the novel A Confederacy of Dunces

COUCH SESSIONS
When the spare bedroom studio is just too far away

A Few Last Wild Oats Sown
Ain't too late

Oh, My Woman
Lettin' go
